MJ College organises National Pharmacy Week (NPW) on 24th of November to make all stakeholders aware of the presence of pharmacists in the society and to know the role played by registered pharmacists with respect to medicines.
The inaugural session started with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony by the dignitaries on the Dias.
Dr. Sreelekha virulkar, director of MJ College addresed that: "If no pharmacists, then no medicines, and if no medicines, then no Swasth Bharat" and also tell about modernization of Pharmaceutical care is essential to optimize therapeutic outcomes and improving quality of life of every patient in economic way and also engrossed the students and wished them well for the coming future and to be called a good pharmacist.
The chief guest of the inaugural function, Dr. Khomendra Sarwa delivered a lecture on Novel Drug Delivery System, Era of Pharmacy, and new advancement and Technology related to Pharmaceutical science and research.
Mr Vijendra Suryawanshi principal of MJ College of Pharmacy express his words that our pharmacist, as Frontline employee are relieving the burden on the doctors, nurses and Hospital emergency departments, I believe that society has definitely recognised the services rendered by pharmacists and the importance of Pharmacy services.
Last but not least, day ended with poster competition.All the participating get awarded with certificate for their encouragement. The valedictory session started with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony by the dignitaries on the Dias.
Various competitions were organised namely poster presentation, science exhibition competition, Quiz competition, Health awareness programme. All the participating colleges performed well in the above competitions.
Health awareness programme was organised in Khamariya in which act has been performed by students to aware people about dengue and covid-19 as well as mask and soaps given to everyone by the teachers and the students.
Director Dr. Shreelekha Virulkar addresed that always encourage more and more activities to advocate the role of pharmacists in every corner of the world. Along with improving good health. This special day reminds and urges the global community to recognise the significant role played by pharmacists in society.
Principal, Mr. Vijendra Suryawanshi acknowledge and thank all the pharmacists and pharmacy sectors who are working tirelessly during the time of great uncertainty and challenges in addition to the regular responsibilities of taking care of patients.
Chief guest of Valedictory function, Dr. Vinod kumar Verma said experience, knowledge and skill to make the world better place for everyone which can only be provided by a responsible pharmacists and gave well wishes to students fir their bright future.
Lastly, the certificates were given to the students by our chief guest Dr. Vinod Kumar Verma.
